Municipal Elections: Sale of Alcoholic Beverages Prohibited the Day Before and on Election Day

As with every election, the police have informed the public that the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited on the eve and the day of the municipal elections, specifically on May 3rd and 4th.
According to Article 103A of the Excise Regulations of 1994, anyone found in violation of this law may face legal action.
If convicted, the offender could face a fine of up to Rs 50,000 and a prison sentence of no more than two years.
