Country Reservoirs: Overall Filling Rate at 63.7% After Heavy Rains

The overall filling rate of reservoirs in Mauritius currently stands at 63.7%, according to the latest figures compiled by the Water Resources Commission.

Despite the heavy rains that fell on the island last Wednesday, the largest reservoir in the country, Mare-aux-Vacoas, shows a filling rate of over 47%.

In contrast, the La Nicolière and Piton-du-Milieu reservoirs are in excellent condition, with filling rates of 99% and 100%, respectively.

The Midlands Dam is filled to 72%, while the Bagatelle Dam shows a rate of 67.4%.

As for the La Ferme and Mare-Longue reservoirs, their filling rates are 56.6% and 53.5%, respectively.
