Cybersecurity and Cybercrime: Regulations to be Promulgated Soon

On Friday, August 8, the Council of Ministers convened and approved the promulgation of the "Cybersecurity and Cybercrime (Critical Information Infrastructure Designation) Regulations 2025." These regulations aim to protect crucial computer systems in key sectors such as financial services, government services, information technology, energy, water, and transportation.
The "Cybersecurity and Cybercrime (Critical Information Infrastructure Designation) Regulations 2025" will assist the government in enhancing resilience against cyberattacks and ensuring the continuity of essential digital services for society and the economy.
The goal is also to better protect IT infrastructures from terrorist threats.
