Tourism: Arrivals and Revenue Hold Steady Despite Winter Chill

Record number of tourists in July. Revenue increased by 25% in June. Continuous growth from April to the present. These are all reasons to assert that the winter low season provides relief to operators in a key sector for the Mauritian economy.

Commenting on the July figures, Tourism Minister Richard Duval highlighted, "This is the first time we have such a low season. With 129,206 visitors in July, it’s almost as good as a high season month. It’s better than November 2024 and slightly lower than October 2024. We hope this continues."
