Reward Money: Jagai's Court Appearance Under High Tension

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashik Jagai, former head of the now-defunct Police Headquarters Special Striking Team (PHSST), was brought back to the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) for further questioning following his court appearance in Port-Louis South yesterday. The investigation concerns over Rs 86 million in allegedly improper payments made to informants in a potential embezzlement of the Reward Money. According to investigator Arline Raymond, the inquiries are still ongoing.
