SSR International Airport Upgrades Its Baggage Trolley Fleet to Enhance Passenger Experience

In its ongoing commitment to provide travelers with modern facilities and optimal comfort, ATOL has undertaken significant improvements to its fleet of baggage trolleys. This initiative is part of a strategy aimed at optimizing operations for the peak tourist season from November to January and beyond.

To date, approximately 1,500 trolleys were available, many of which required refurbishment. Nearly 500 of these have already been repaired and returned to service, enhancing their availability and reliability. The investment dedicated to purchasing spare parts and repairs amounts to Rs 1.5 million.

In parallel, 300 new trolleys have been acquired to bolster the airport's capacity to meet growing demand. This acquisition represents an investment of over Rs 4 million. Additional purchases and repairs are planned for the coming months.

According to Lormus Bundhoo, CEO of ATOL: "By the end of the year, we should have more than 2,400 trolleys, which is an increase of over 60% compared to the previously available number. These investments reflect our desire to offer modern equipment and to make each step of the journey through SSR International Airport smoother, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. We are confident that passengers will appreciate this initiative."

SSR International Airport thus reaffirms its commitment to maintaining world-class infrastructure and providing its travelers with a quality experience.
