FAO Report: Prevalence of Malnutrition Increased Over Twenty Years

Over 100,000 Mauritians are going hungry in 2024. This is revealed by the latest report from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), titled Food Security and Malnutrition in the World, published in collaboration with UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the World Food Programme (WFP). The prevalence of malnutrition in the country has now reached 8.7%, up from 5.4%.
