The decision by the DPP on September 26th to dismiss the provisional charges against Bruneau Laurette, Akil Bissessur, Vimen Sabapati, Doomilla Moheeputh, and others (a total of eight cases involving additional defendants) is both a logical and potentially beneficial move.

This decision comes with an invitation for the police to initiate further investigations that "will include but will not necessarily be limited to the allegations made by the suspects..."
