Anjalay Coopen Awards: Breath of Struggle and Heritage: The Flame Never Goes Out

The municipality of Port Louis hosted a solemn ceremony yesterday. Since 2023, the Joint Negotiating Panel (JNP) has been honoring individuals who, through their actions or commitment, have made a mark on the history of the sugar industry and, more broadly, the world of work. This year, three distinguished individuals received this accolade: human rights lawyer Antoine Domingue, trade unionist Gopal Bhujan, and labor movement historian Ved Prakash.
