Golf: AXYS Concludes the 2025 Eastern Golfers Challenge in Style

The finale of the AXYS Eastern Golfers Challenge 2025 took place on Saturday, September 27, at the Anahita Golf Club, marking the end of a third edition that brought together over 100 golfers on the East Coast's most prestigious courses.

Ian Sababady, Managing Director of AXYS Capital Markets, stated: "This third edition of the AXYS Eastern Golfers Challenge has confirmed the tournament's success. We welcomed golf enthusiasts from across the island in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. The final day featured a shotgun format in the afternoon, followed by a cocktail, dinner, and awards presentation. The level of play was once again impressive, showcasing solid performances and a sportsmanship spirit appreciated by all participants.

Laetitia Nau Halimi, the winner of the Ladies' Gross category, expressed her delight about the final: "This last round of the Eastern Golfers competition was up to par. The final at Anahita Golf Club, the smooth organization, the friendly atmosphere, and the well-maintained course provided participants with a wonderful day of golf. It’s always a pleasure to take part in such events that combine sports passion and social interaction."

Nathalie de Tomasi, the overall Ladies' Net winner, praised the atmosphere and course quality: "What a joy it is to participate in this beautiful competition and play on these stunning courses! The organization was perfect, the course quality exceptional, and the atmosphere truly enjoyable. I'm looking forward to next year to defend my title!"

Winners of the Order of Merit also made their mark on this edition. For Ludovic Bax de Keating, the winner of the Men's Gross category, this tournament will remain memorable: "I'm thrilled to have won the Gross and very excited about discovering the Seychelles, a destination I have yet to explore. A huge thank you to all the golf clubs that welcomed us generously, to their teams for their professionalism, and to AXYS for this wonderful initiative."

Mathieu Imbert, winner of the Men's Net category for the season, emphasized his commitment to the competition: "This was my second year participating, and even coming from the West, I made sure to attend all the stages this year to fully enjoy the atmosphere and the quality of the courses. I can’t wait for next year to relive this experience together!"

Net winners received an annual subscription to the five partner golf clubs in the East, while Gross winners were awarded a trip for two to the Seychelles.
