EO Solutions and Xerox Celebrate 60 Years in Mauritius and Launch a New Era of Digital Services
EO Solutions, a subsidiary of the Harel Mallac Group and exclusive distributor of Xerox in Mauritius, is celebrating a dual anniversary today at the Suffren Hotel & Marina: 60 years of Xerox's presence in Mauritius and 20 years of EO Solutions as an independent company.
This celebration not only marks a history of trust and continuity but also the beginning of a new chapter, with Xerox committed to a global strategy of digital reinvention. The goal is to evolve from being a historic printing player to a provider of digital transformation and IT services, with a clear ambition to increase the share of revenue from digital sources to over 20% in the coming years.
Since 1965, Harel Mallac has represented Xerox in Mauritius. The establishment of Harel Mallac Bureautique as a standalone company in 2005 was a decisive milestone, followed by a rebranding to EO Solutions in 2017. Over the decades, the company has supported thousands of Mauritian organizations through major innovations: from the first copiers to production solutions, outsourcing organizational systems management, and work processes, and now to digital work environments.
"For the Harel Mallac Group, EO Solutions is not just a subsidiary; it exemplifies our active role as a Mauritian enterprise: providing solutions that transform businesses' everyday operations, supporting local innovation, and contributing to the country's growth and sustainable development. This double anniversary marks a milestone, but it is primarily a starting point towards new ambitions, where humanity and technology advance together," explains Charles Harel, CEO of the Harel Mallac Group.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, Kevin Gould, Regional Manager for South Africa, Central Africa & UAE at Xerox Middle East & Africa, and Warren Mande, Managing Director of Altron Document Solutions (South Africa). Guests were also privileged to watch a video address from Steve Bandrowczak, CEO of Xerox US.
EO Solutions is recognized as a leader in technological solutions in Mauritius, serving over 2,000 clients across strategic sectors such as banking and finance, commerce, hospitality, government, and the parapublic sector. Its portfolio includes Xerox as well as Fujifilm, Roland, Quadient, Glory, G+D, and other international brands. The company is also pioneering in managerial and cultural transformation: it was the first subsidiary of the Harel Mallac Group to obtain the Great Place to Work certification in 2024, with strong female representation in its management teams.
"This double anniversary embodies both the strength of our partnership with Xerox and our ability to evolve to meet the changing needs of Mauritian businesses. Today, we support our clients well beyond printing. We help them automate their processes, manage their data, and adapt to the hybrid work environment. This reinvention is at the heart of Xerox's future, and EO Solutions is proud to carry this vision in Mauritius and the region," states Dany Blackburn, General Manager of EO Solutions.
This innovation dynamic is also accompanied by a strong commitment to sustainability. Since 2019, EO Solutions has recycled over 38 tons of electronic waste, primarily end-of-life Xerox equipment, toners, and used parts – through its partner BEM Recycling. The company adheres to a strict zero landfill policy, aligned with Xerox's international standards, and provides its clients with annual recycling certificates that certify the traceability of their equipment.
Xerox is heavily investing in digital services and ICT to help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness. In Mauritius, EO Solutions is committed to being the go-to partner for this transformation, simplifying printing infrastructures, and proposing and developing new digital solutions.
