Blue Economy: A Law in Preparation to Protect Marine Wealth

"A law on the blue economy is currently in preparation," announced the Minister of Blue Economy and Fisheries, Arvin Boolell, this morning at a workshop organized as part of a series of ten pre-consultative meetings ahead of the upcoming Ocean Conference.

The minister explained that the aim of this law is to regulate, protect, and sustainably enhance the marine resources of the country.

Additionally, the minister clarified that his ministry is currently progressing with an ambitious roadmap developed with the support of the European Union and the World Bank.
