Illegal Vehicle Transfer: FCC Arrests 26-Year-Old for Appropriating a Rs 9.2 Million Porsche

Liam S., a 26-year-old resident of Eau-Coulée, was arrested on Tuesday, October 7, by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC). He is suspected of being involved in a fraud case related to the illegal transfer of a luxury vehicle. According to gathered information, on September 5, 2025, the suspect allegedly fraudulently transferred a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, valued at Rs 9.2 million, into his name using the MauPass online system. The vehicle reportedly belongs to Mr. J. S., who has already filed a complaint with the FCC.

The agency accuses the young man of committing "fraud by false representation" under Section 39 of the FCC Act. Investigators suspect Liam S. of having falsified the owner's credentials to access the MauPass system before transferring the vehicle to his name. They also believe he intended to resell the Porsche for profit. After being extensively interrogated by FCC officers on Tuesday, the suspect was placed under arrest that evening. The investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances of this fraudulent transfer.
