Two Mauritian Sisters Die in a Road Accident in France

Two Mauritian sisters lost their lives in a vehicle collision while on vacation in France. The tragedy occurred on September 24 in the Auxerre region of Yonne, Burgundy-Franche-Comté. The victims, Maryline Rivalland, 70, and Doris Rivalland, 64, were traveling in one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

The two women were sisters of Maurice Allet, the president of the Mauritius Port Authority.

In a statement to RadioPlus on Wednesday, October 8, their niece, Catherine Cimiotti, shared that her aunts 'had a zest for life.' They had been on vacation since June at the home of Maryline Rivalland's son, enjoying a family holiday.

The funeral for the two sisters is set to take place tomorrow.
