Gaza: Thousands March North After Ceasefire Announcement

Gaza: Thousands of Palestinians are marching north on Friday following the announcement of a ceasefire, as observed by AFP journalists in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip.

An almost continuous line of pedestrians is walking along the al-Rashid road, a coastal route bordering the Mediterranean, heading towards the northern Gaza Strip, while a few vehicles are slowly advancing in the same direction through the crowd.

The Israeli army announced that the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect at 09:00 GMT (12:00 local time) on Friday.
