Trump Imposes Additional 100% Tariffs on China and Export Restrictions

Donald Trump announced on Friday via his Truth Social platform that the United States would impose an additional 100% tariff on Chinese goods, effective November 1st "or sooner," which will be added to the existing tariffs.

The American president, reacting to what he describes as China's "extraordinarily aggressive trade stance," also stated that restrictions on the export of "all strategic software" to China would take effect on the same date.
