Parliament: PNQ: Increasing Insecurity and Developments in the Kistnen Case

Yesterday, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam responded to a Private Notice Question (PNQ) from opposition leader Joe Lesjongard regarding the rise in reported assaults since the beginning of the year. Lesjongard justified his inquiry by citing the increasing climate of insecurity, referencing a series of recent incidents. "The situation is alarming," he stressed, mentioning an average of 15 assaults per day and about ten police officers assaulted each month.
