Content: For several weeks, CSE Velocity (Collège du Saint-Esprit) has been preparing to participate in the 2025 edition of the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals scheduled to take place in Singapore. However, the global finals coincide with the dates of the School Certificate (SC) and Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams. As a result, the national champion team of STEM Racing Mauritius will take part in the 2026 edition.

Nevertheless, this setback has opened the door to an even greater opportunity for Mauritius. Since the World Finals often clash with exam periods, STEM Racing Mauritius has proposed the establishment of a Regional STEM Racing Competition to be held on the island. "This initiative would not only allow Mauritian students to fully participate without exam conflicts but would also attract teams from across the region," states a press release from the STEM Racing Mauritius team.

This new initiative will provide Mauritius with a unique opportunity to position itself as a regional hub for education and innovation in the STEM field, welcoming participants and their families, thus boosting tourism and the country's visibility. It will also reinforce Mauritius's role as a regional leader in the integration of STEM, education, and sports innovation.

To explore this ambitious vision, a conference/workshop with an international delegation and the STEM Racing headquarters will be organized soon. This collaboration will assess the potential and infrastructure of Mauritius (the date will be communicated shortly, after coordination with all stakeholders).

On this occasion, the team will also organize the second STEM Racing Mauritius event and award certificates to participants.
