Port-Louis Court: Preliminary Charge of Criminal Conspiracy Against Vimen Sabapati Dismissed

At the Port-Louis Court, the preliminary charge of criminal conspiracy against Vimen Sabapati was dismissed this Monday morning following a request from Senior State Counsel Me Sannidi Pillay Paupoo-Nallee before Magistrate Prashant Bissoon.

Vimen Sabapati was represented by Me Yousuf Azaree.

This preliminary charge stemmed from the seizure of a phone found near the cell where Vimen Sabapati was held at the Alcatraz center on June 8, 2023, following his arrest on May 3, 2023, for alleged drug trafficking. Upon his release, Vimen Sabapati declined to make any statement.
