Police Chase in Rivière-Noire: 21-Year-Old Driver Tests Positive for Drugs

A 21-year-old resident of Tamarin was intercepted by police yesterday following a dramatic chase in the Rivière-Noire area.

The young driver was spotted dangerously zigzagging behind the wheel of his car, which caught the attention of a police patrol. When ordered to stop, he chose to flee, leading to a pursuit that ended in a collision between his vehicle and the police car.

Upon his arrest, a quantity of cannabis was found in his possession. The driver also tested positive for drugs and has been placed in police custody.
