Press Conference This Wednesday: Bérenger to Address the Investigation into Madagascar's Private Jet

The Acting Prime Minister, Paul Bérenger, will hold a press conference this Wednesday, October 15, at 11 AM. The focus of this meeting will be the investigation led by the Secretary to Cabinet regarding a private jet from Madagascar that landed on Saturday night at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

The aircraft, registered as 5R-HMR and owned by the SODIAT group, was carrying former Malagasy Prime Minister Christian Ntsay and businessman Maminiaina Ravatomanga, known as "Mamy," a close advisor to President Andry Rajoelina.

Paul Bérenger expressed his anger over what he deemed an irregular landing and has ordered an investigation to be chaired by Cabinet Secretary Suresh Seebaluck.

Additionally, Maminiaina Ravatomanga is under investigation by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) following a complaint filed on Monday by a Malagasy national regarding alleged financial misconduct.
