Minister Michael Sik Yuen has reacted to the call for a boycott of dholl puris and rotis priced over Rs 17, made by Jayen Chellum, the Secretary General of ACIM. He stated, "No one can impose choices on consumers," emphasizing that every consumer is free to decide whether or not to purchase these products.

In light of rising prices noted among several vendors, Michael Sik Yuen expressed his intention to remain neutral in this debate. While he acknowledges the difficulties some vendors face, he added that such challenges do not necessarily justify all price increases as legitimate.
