The Complete List of 148 Destinations Where Mauritians Can Travel Visa-Free

Mauritius ranks 29th in the Henley Passport Index 2025, which measures passport strength based on the number of visa-free destinations accessible. Currently, Mauritians can travel to 148 countries without a visa, while 78 countries still require one. The more a passport allows easy entry into a large number of countries, the stronger it is considered. According to the 2025 Henley Passport Index, a global benchmark in this field, the world hierarchy is evolving. For the first time in twenty years, the U.S. passport has fallen out of the top 10.

In contrast, Asian countries now dominate the rankings:

Singapore tops the list with visa-free access to 193 destinations.

South Korea follows with access to 190 destinations.

Japan completes the podium with 189 visa-free destinations.
