Fake Plane Tickets: Merchant Scammed Out of Rs 80,000

A 64-year-old merchant from Plaine Verte claims to have been the victim of a scam amounting to Rs 80,000 after attempting to purchase discounted plane tickets to China.

According to information gathered by the police, the man was put in contact, last May, with an individual who promised him preferential ticket prices. This contact was recommended to him by a long-time acquaintance, who is also a merchant in the capital.
