Asset Freezing of Ashisk Jagai and His Son: FCC Obtains an Attachment Order
The Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) has obtained an "Attachment Order" against several assets owned by Superintendent Ashik Jagai and his son, Ali Saheb Jagai.
They are prohibited from disposing of or selling the vehicles or shares they hold in various companies until the investigation related to money laundering suspicions is concluded.
The Supreme Court of Mauritius granted the FCC's request after several documents were submitted to a judge. This order affects four vehicles and shares in multiple companies.
The assets involved include:
• A Mercedes registered in the name of Ashik Jagai.
• A BMW and a Ford Raptor registered in the name of Ali Saheb Jagai.
• Another BMW registered in the name of the company Nabsha Uclean.
• Shares held by Ali Saheb Jagai in Ziya Property.
It is noteworthy that Ashik Jagai and his son are currently on bail in two separate cases related to money laundering suspicions.
The first case, known as the Reward Money case, involves Ashik Jagai.
His son is under investigation for the suspicious acquisition of several assets, including vehicles already seized by the FCC.
