Electricity Network: Mauritius Goes on Red Alert

The electricity network has just gone on red alert a few minutes ago. This information comes from Thierry Ramasawmy, the communications manager at CEB.

According to him, power outages are expected this evening, but they will not be widespread.

He also informs us that repairs on the electricity network are underway and should be completed within the hour.
