Investigation into Malagasy businessman Ravatomanga: his lawyer contacts the FCC to clarify the case

Lawyer Siddharta Hawaldar reached out to investigators from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) this morning, Thursday, October 16, on the instructions of his client, Malagasy businessman Mami Ravatomanga.

He explained that the businessman wishes to clarify the entire matter before leaving the country.

Arriving in Mauritius early Sunday morning aboard a private jet, he is under investigation for suspected financial misconduct by the FCC. This follows a complaint lodged by a young Malagasy national on Monday.

Yesterday, the National Council for the Defense of the Transition (CNDT) of Madagascar requested the FCC for international judicial cooperation. This cooperation aims to investigate Mami Ravatomanga, who is facing allegations of large-scale corruption, complicity in the embezzlement of public funds, and fiscal and financial fraud.

An official request has been submitted to the FCC in this regard, to support this investigation and ensure transparency in the matter.
