The MSM states: "The GM seems to have found a new 'joker' to justify its difficulties." On Thursday, October 16, the Soleil party released a statement highlighting that whenever there is a hiccup, the MSM is blamed.

"Electricity shortage? It's the MSM's fault... Recent arrest of a journalist? It's the 'MSM team' within the police..." reads the statement.

The MSM leadership regrets what it describes as a "reflexive habit" and emphasizes that Mauritians are primarily looking for concrete solutions to the problems they face.

"Blaming the MSM to justify incompetence will not allow the current government to generate an additional kilowatt of electricity," asserts the Soleil party leadership.
