La Croisette Lights Up for Four Days for Diwali

Grand Baie La Croisette (GBLC) invites the public to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, from Friday, October 17 to Monday, October 20, 2025. Over these four days, the shopping center will be illuminated for a moment of sharing and conviviality open to all.

"Diwali is much more than just a festival; it is a universal symbol of hope, peace, and light. At La Croisette, we want to make this event a moment for gathering and sharing, where every visitor, regardless of their background, can discover the cultural richness of this celebration. Through sounds, flavors, and colors, we aim to brighten the daily lives of our visitors and offer them an authentic, joyful, and meaningful experience," says the management of Grand Baie La Croisette.

Visitors will be able to enjoy an Indian market throughout the weekend, creative workshops for children, musical performances, artistic showcases, and a culinary sharing moment to conclude the celebration.

The program promises to be as rich as it is festive. The public can look forward to four days filled with the colors and flavors of India. On Friday, October 17, visitors can enjoy the Indian Market all day long, participate in diya decoration workshops for children, mehendi application by Peeroo, and an evening of music featuring Diferans Band followed by DJ Emran. On Saturday, October 18, visitors will explore the Indian market, an art workshop for Rangoli for the younger audience, additional mehendi moments, and a concert by the 4 Tunes Uttam Durbarry Quartet followed by an artistic performance.

Sunday, October 19, will focus on creativity and tradition, featuring the Indian market, workshops for colorful rice Rangoli art, and mehendi sessions. During these first three days, "The Minimalist" will offer makeup sessions, styling advice, and activities such as sari draping starting at 10 AM. Finally, Monday, October 20 will conclude this beautiful celebration with a distribution of sweets in the morning and a performance by Krumania at midday.

Since its inception, the center has placed significant emphasis on leisure activities, making it much more than just a shopping location. True to its spirit, La Croisette showcases Mauritian culture and encourages moments of sharing among family and friends. With cultural discoveries, colorful creations, and festive rhythms, Diwali at La Croisette promises a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, celebrating light, unity, and shared joy. Once again this year, everything is being put in place to allow the public to experience new adventures and create unforgettable memories at the heart of the shopping center.
