NADC: Sam Lauthan Strikes Back Against Kugan Parapen's Concerns

"My priority is the fight against synthetic drugs and nothing else." This statement was made by Sam Lauthan, president of the National Agency for Drug Control (NADC), during an interview on RadioPlus on Friday, October 17.

This response comes after new criticisms from Junior Minister Kugan Parapen, who questioned Sam Lauthan's positions on the drug issue.

For the NADC president, there is no question of being diverted from his mission.

The day before, Kugan Parapen, Junior Minister of Social Security and member of Rezistans ek Alternativ, expressed reservations about the NADC during a citizen conversation organized by his party at the Port-Louis municipality, which focused on the growing crisis of synthetic drugs in the country.

He stated that neither he nor his party agrees with the positions held by the agency's president.
