Weather: A tropical depression has formed east of Diego Garcia and could intensify into a moderate tropical storm over the weekend. The system will be named Chenge. This information comes from a statement issued by the Vacoas meteorological service on Friday, October 17.

According to forecasts, the system may approach Agalega by the middle of next week. The weather is expected to gradually become cloudy, with thunderstorms, while the winds will strengthen, reaching up to 90 km/h in gusts. The sea is predicted to be rough to very rough.
