Obituary: Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally has passed away

Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally, aged 43, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, October 21. The director of Diagnos Clinique left us after bravely fighting a long battle against illness.

Her funeral will take place on Tuesday at 1:30 PM. The funeral procession will depart from her brother Irfaan Joomun's home in Caroline, Bel-Air-Rivière-Sèche, en route to the Trois Îlots cemetery.

"She was suffering but never gave up. She was always a fighter. She leaves a huge void behind," said her brother, Irfaan Joomun.

A former journalist at Radio Plus and News on Sunday, a publication of the Défi Media Group, Tasleemah Joomun-Peerally also worked with the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). Passionate about communication, she led the agency CommuniKaza.

She was the wife of Dr. Saleem Peerally and leaves behind a son, as well as a grieving family.
