Alleged Fraud at the Islamic Cultural Centre: Feizal Dil Hossain Makes New Revelations to the FCC

Feizal Dil Hossain, a former board member of the Islamic Cultural Centre (ICC), visited the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) again on Wednesday to elaborate on his allegations of irregularities regarding the organization of the pilgrimage to Mecca in May 2025. For over three hours, he submitted several documents to support his claims and provided a detailed new account of the events. "I came to report fraud, favoritism, and conflicts of interest that persist in the selection of pilgrims. I provided evidence, including false bank guarantees, and named the officers involved," Feizal Dil Hossain stated upon leaving the FCC premises. On October 13, he had already filed a complaint with the FCC regarding fraud and favoritism, targeting five visa beneficiaries whom he believes are ineligible. According to him, their names were suspiciously added to the official list of pilgrims.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Me Assad Peeroo, Feizal Dil Hossain claims that a previous decision by the ICC board had excluded these five individuals before a later meeting reversed this decision. "This is the second time my client has come to file a report. He mentioned several cases of corruption and favoritism within the ICC and provided the names of those involved," said Me Peeroo.

The FCC's investigation is still ongoing.
