The Chinese Business Chamber Celebrates 27 Years of Existence
The Chinese Business Chamber (CBC) celebrated its 27th anniversary during a presidential gala dinner held at Domaine Anna in Flic-en-Flac yesterday. The event gathered numerous business leaders, professionals, and guests who came to honor the journey of this institution, which has become a reference in the Mauritian economic landscape.
Twenty-seven years after its establishment, the Chinese Business Chamber (CBC) remains a key player in the Mauritian entrepreneurial scene. Staying true to its mission, it continues to encourage cooperation, stimulate innovation, and create bridges between entrepreneurs of all backgrounds. Balancing tradition and modernity, the CBC embodies solidarity, vision, and perseverance in the pursuit of economic and social progress in Mauritius.
The CBC is a leading organization that brings together entrepreneurs and professionals from various sectors. Its primary goal is to promote networking, collaboration, and economic exchanges, both in Mauritius and abroad. In this capacity, it plays a crucial role in the development of the business community and in creating lasting connections between the local private sector and international partners.
The gala dinner featured several political personalities, including the guest of honor, Shakeel Mohamed, Minister of Housing and Land, who delivered a speech praising the CBC's ongoing contribution to the country's economic development. He also emphasized the importance of dialogue between the business world and public authorities to foster growth and innovation.
Two special interventions also highlighted the evening: that of Michael Yeung Sik Yuen, Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection, and Karen Foo Kune-Bacha, Junior Minister. Both emphasized the key role played by the CBC in strengthening economic relations and guiding Mauritian entrepreneurs toward new opportunities.
Beyond the official speeches, the event was a moment of sharing and camaraderie, where members could exchange experiences, strengthen their ties, and consider new joint projects.
