Ramgoolam Case: Lawyer Robin Ramburn Requests Access to Multiple Investigation Documents

In the case known as the "excessive payments" involving Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, a hearing was held on Thursday, October 23, before the Financial Crimes Division, chaired by judges Razia Jannoo-Jaunbocus and Abdool Raheem Tajoodeen. The session was marked by a "disclosure" motion presented by Navin Ramgoolam's lawyer, Senior Counsel Robin Ramburn. He is requesting access to several documents related to the initiation and proceedings of the investigation that began in 2015. Specifically, he wants to know the identity of the informant in this case, any communications between political officials and investigators, as well as documents related to the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID), among others.
