Le Cygne Bookstore: Its Director Mimi Chen Has Passed Away

A chapter closes at Le Cygne Bookstore, located in Magic Lantern, Rose-Hill. Its director, Mimi Chen, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, at the age of 82.

The wake will be held tonight until 10 PM, and again on Friday, October 24th, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Elie & Sons in Beau-Bassin.

Mimi Chen warmly welcomed visitors. She sometimes enjoyed glancing at the books that were being sold and exchanging a few words about the works or their authors.
