Possession of 3,696.8 grams of hashish: Two French nationals sentenced to 15 years in prison each
Fifteen years of hard labor have been imposed on Abdallah Colo and Dounya Abdou for the possession of 3,696.8 grams of hashish. They pleaded guilty. The verdict was delivered yesterday at the Assizes by Judge Pravin Harrah.
They arrived in Mauritius on August 26, 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. They were staying in room No. 214 at Belle-Mare Plage. A body search was conducted on both defendants by the police, but no incriminating items were found.
