Mexico: Massive Search Operation for Missing Persons' Bodies

On Thursday, October 23, relatives of the missing, human rights activists, authorities, and forensic experts began meticulously combing a large wooded area near Mexico City in search of the remains of around a hundred individuals.

The groups involved in the search, which commenced in Ajusco, a volcanic hill located south of the Mexican capital, estimate that there could be between 130 and 150 bodies buried or hidden in the region.

These searches are part of ongoing efforts to uncover the truth about the fate of those who have disappeared.
