Pamplemousses: Seizure of 92,500 Banned Plastic Bags and Products

A large joint operation by the Environmental Police and the Plastic Division of the Ministry of the Environment led to the seizure of a significant quantity of banned plastic bags and products in Pamplemousses on Friday, October 24.

The intervention took place in the morning at a supermarket selling non-biodegradable plastic products. Officers conducted a thorough search of the store and its warehouse in the presence of the owner, who was fined for possessing plastic bags for commercial purposes and single-use plastic products for commercial purposes.
