On Thursday, October 23, Health and Wellness Minister Anil Bachoo welcomed Professor Stéphanie Baillif, a specialist in vitreoretinal surgery, at the Souillac hospital. Arriving from France, she performed a series of complex surgeries aimed at treating serious conditions of the retina and vitreous, which are often invisible but can be devastating to vision. To date, nine patients have already benefited from her interventions, with positive outcomes reported.
