Cameroon: President Paul Biya, 92, Re-elected for an Eighth Term
The world's oldest president, Cameroonian Paul Biya, has won the presidential election with 53.66% of the votes, according to official results announced on Monday by the Constitutional Council.
At 92 years old and in power since 1982, President Paul Biya has been re-elected for an eighth term in Cameroon with 53.66% of the votes, based on the official results proclaimed by the Constitutional Council on Monday.
Candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary came in second with 35.1%.
