Melrose Prison: Three Mini Mobile Phones Found on an Inmate

On Monday, October 27, a search operation at the Eastern High Security Prison in Melrose led to the discovery of three mini mobile phones.

According to a prison official, an inmate returning from the Rivière-Noire court was subjected to a search. During the scanning process, three black mini phones were detected, hidden in the inmate's intimate areas. The items were confiscated and handed over to the police for investigation.

The search took place in the control area, under the surveillance of security cameras. An investigation has been launched by the Montagne-Blanche police to determine how the inmate managed to acquire these devices and the circumstances under which they were concealed.
