"What do you gain?" says Paul Bérenger in Lesjongard at Parliament

"What do you gain?" exclaimed Paul Bérenger in Lesjongard at Parliament. The Mauritian Creole language has not yet been officially recognized in Parliament, but it remains the preferred language for some deputies when defending themselves or making jabs at their colleagues. The Deputy Prime Minister is no exception.

"What do you gain? I'm not you..." he directed towards the opposition leader. This exchange took place on Tuesday, October 28, during the Private Notice Questions (PNQ) session.

This response was prompted by a question regarding former Malagasy President, Andry Rajoelina.

Joe Lesjongard had asked: "Can the Prime Minister tell us if he or the Deputy Prime Minister, during his interim, had communicated with the former Malagasy President when he left Madagascar?"

"Neither of us obviously," replied Navin Ramgoolam.
