Mauritius Longevity Summit 2025: Mauritius Hosts Its First Longevity Summit

From November 13 to 15, 2025, the Trianon Convention Centre will host the inaugural Mauritius Longevity Summit 2025, a groundbreaking event focused on preventive health, the science of aging, and long-term quality of life.

Organized by the Advanced Medical Learning Center (AMLC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Private Clinics Association, this summit will bring together international experts, physicians, researchers, businesses, and citizens with a shared goal: to live better, not just longer. As Mauritius faces a continuous rise in chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer, this initiative aligns with a global movement redefining the health of the future—shifting from reactive medicine to a preventive, proactive, and integrated approach.

"The goal is not just to live longer, but to live healthily, with vitality and independence. Longevity is primarily about quality of life. Through this summit, we aim to inspire Mauritians to adopt a more preventive approach to health, integrating science, technology, and knowledge into their daily lives. Science and innovation should not be confined to laboratories; they must serve the well-being of all," emphasizes Damien Adam, the project's initiator.

The Mauritius Longevity Summit 2025 will feature several key figures in longevity research and innovation, including Mehmood Khan, former CEO of PepsiCo USA and now CEO of the Hevolution Foundation, Dr. Brian Kennedy, Director of the Centre for Healthy Longevity in Singapore, and Dr. John Newman, a geriatrician at the Buck Institute and a professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, founder of the XPRIZE Foundation and co-founder of Singularity University, will participate via video conference. He is recognized as a global leader in longevity and health innovation, advocating for the use of exponential technologies to extend healthy life.

Additionally, around fifteen other experts from Europe, Asia, and the United States will share the latest advancements in nutrition, digital health, integrative medicine, and mental well-being—fields that place prevention at the heart of public health.

The Mauritius Longevity Summit 2025 thus marks the beginning of a national movement for longevity—a drive to unite the country's vital forces around a common ambition: to make Mauritius a model of a healthier, more aware, and more resilient society.

Over the three days of the summit, participants will have the opportunity to attend thematic sessions that combine science, prevention, and human experience. Plenary lectures and discussion panels will address topics such as nutrition and metabolism, digital health, preventive and integrative medicine, as well as the science of aging and longevity medicine. Each session will highlight concrete approaches to extending healthy life years and strengthening the culture of prevention in Mauritius.
