Jean Fanchette Prize: Amarnath Hosany and Nicolas Couronne Win with Works Rooted in Reality

Amarnath Hosany and Nicolas Couronne are the joint winners of the 15th edition of the Jean Fanchette Prize, organized by the municipality of Beau-Bassin–Rose-Hill. The announcement was made on Monday at the Plaza in Rose-Hill by writer Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, chair of the jury and 2008 Nobel Prize in Literature, from Paris. Amarnath Hosany was awarded for his manuscript The Clown, while Nicolas Couronne was recognized for The Ancestor Slave's Gaze.
