Parliament: Pre-Primary: The Appointment of a Director Still Pending

The issue of the leadership of the Early Childhood Care and Education Authority (ECCEA) resurfaced at the National Assembly on Tuesday. In response to a question from Adrien Duval, a member of the PMSD party, the Minister of Education and Human Resources, Mahend Gungapersad, outlined the qualifications required for the director position and the current interim situation within the institution. The Scheme of Service for the role mandates that candidates possess a Cambridge Higher School Certificate (HSC) or a GCE Advanced Level.
