Upon returning from Great Britain, where he attended several meetings, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam emphasized the need for action at the International Conference on the Crisis of Heart, Kidney, and Metabolic Diseases, stating he was "aware of the seriousness of the situation." While in Seychelles for the inauguration of President Patrick Herminie, the Prime Minister was unable to deliver his speech at the conference organized in collaboration with prominent professors.
