Ste-Claire Residence, Goodlands: Suspect 'Papaye' Allegedly Disposed of Rs 345,000 Worth of Drugs Upon Seeing Police
At Ste-Claire Residence in Goodlands, officers from the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu) are continuing their pursuit of drug traffickers.
On Tuesday, during a surveillance operation, a squad led by Inspector Samynaden apprehended Deepak Mohan, also known as Papaye, a resident of Goodlands.
Spotted on Santa Clara Avenue, the suspect allegedly attempted to dispose of a plastic bag containing 69.23 grams of synthetic drugs as the police approached.
Despite this attempt, he was arrested. The market value of the seized drugs is estimated at Rs 345,000.
A search conducted at his residence revealed no other illicit substances.
Deepak Mohan has been placed in police custody under a provisional charge of drug trafficking.
