Admitted to a clinic: the FCC does not accept Nasser Osman Beekhy's temporary discharge

Nasser Osman Beekhy was not taken to the Port Louis court on Friday, October 31, 2025. The reason is that the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) refused to take responsibility for his transfer to court, despite him having received a "temporary discharge." According to Me Trishul Naga, an attorney for the FCC, officers responsible for escorting a defendant can only act when the defendant has obtained a formal discharge from a hospital or when he has been discharged against medical advice.

Me Ashley Hurhangee, attorney for Nasser Osman Beekhy, stated that he will advise his client to sign a "discharge against medical advice" on November 3, 2025, so that he can appear in court.

It is important to note that Nasser Osman Beekhy is accused of collusion. The resident of Vallée-des-Prêtres allegedly made an agreement with David Jean Christian Thomas, who is said to be close to the Malagasy magnate Maminiaina (Mamy) Ravatomanga, in order to meet with lawyer Junaid Haroon Fakim.

The purpose of this meeting was purportedly to interfere with an ongoing investigation. The offense is said to have been committed on October 15, 2025.
