According to investigators, Junaid Fakim allegedly transmitted confidential information about the FCC investigation to the Malagasy businessman's clan during a meeting held on Tuesday, October 14, at the home of one of his acquaintances in Quatre-Bornes. Junaid Fakim maintains that he alerted the interim director general about Mamy Ravatomanga's presence at this meeting before confirming that he was indeed under the FCC's scrutiny. The former commissioner claims he left the premises shortly after.

Dawoodarry Denies Influence Peddling Allegations: "I am sincere towards my country, my work, my institution"

Titrudeo Dawoodarry, known as Sanjay, has been embroiled in this case by former commissioner Junaid Fakim. The latter claims that during the meeting on October 14, he called the interim DG to inquire whether Mamy Ravatomanga was under investigation. According to Me Junaid Fakim, Sanjay Dawoodarry confirmed this information to him. This phone exchange puts Dawoodarry in a difficult position, forcing him to recuse himself from this case since Thursday, October 30. Under the provisions of the FCC Act, another commission member has been appointed to take on the role of director concerning decisions related to this investigation. On TéléPlus, Monday night, Sanjay Dawoodarry vehemently refuted all allegations of influence peddling against him. He emphasized that this case has gained considerable magnitude, being one of the most significant that the Commission, along with several international institutions, has had to handle. Regarding the allegations against him, he claims to be calm and more determined than ever to continue the fight against fraud and corruption. "Let them think what they will, I am sincere towards my country, my work, my institution," he concluded.
